Technical Specification
The
ISO 9000 series of standards set out how Anglian establish, document
and maintain an effective quality system which will demonstrate our commitment
to quality.
They identify the basic disciplines and specify the procedures and criteria
required to ensure that products and services meet the customers' requirement.
BBA
The agrément concept was introduced for the assessment and testing of innovative
those which are claimed to construction products or exceed the performance
requirements of a relevant British Standard.
The quality of Anglian's materials and the method of manufacture have been
examined by the BBA and, as a result, Anglian has become the only company
to hold a
BBA Certificate for conservatory structures, having been tested
for structural integrity, air permeability, water tightness and the effects
of wind resistance and snow loadings. Testing carried out by the BBA indicates
that the conservatory is fit for its purpose for a minimum of 25 years.
Glass

All
glass used in sides, front walls and roof (if specified) will be toughened
at our plant to the highest British Standard, this being BS6206 Class A.
This means that in the unlikely event of breakage there would be no jagged
lengths of glass to cause major injury.
All sealed units are manufactured to BS 5713 and are filled with a mixture
of inert gases, which improves insulation values by approximately 15%.

Pilkington
'K' glass is optional and has a special coating on one side. When combined
with Anglian's Ultra gas filled sealed units, you get insulation performance
that simply cannot be bettered. Thereby enhancing the insulation values
to the equivalent of that of a cavity wall.
Anglian is a leading member of the
Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF). Dealing
with a GGF member company assures high professional standards. All companies
who apply for membership of the Glass and Glazing Federation are subject
to careful vetting and must have completed a minimum of two years trading.
They must also satisfy the GGF of their intention and ability to abide by
the rules of the Federation. Under the terms of the GGF's Code of Ethical
Practice, all members must treat the customer with courtesy and respect
at all times.
Frame

The high
quality PVCu wall frame for Anglian's conservatories is made in our own
factories. Each piece is multi-chambered and strengthened with a 38mm x
38mm zinc galvanised steel reinforcement to provide the necessary load-bearing
capability. Together with the welded joints, this all adds up to extra strength.
And even if a glass roof is specified, the structure is designed to take
the required load bearing.
Security

Home security has never been more important. That's why we design it into
our conservatories.
PVCu profiles are covered by BS74 13, which means the materials used are
of the highest quality are colour-fast, impact resistant and have immense
corner strength.
BS7950/7412 was awarded for improved security requirements of BS74 12, for
mechanical loading, human intervention and glazing security.

And all of them have been manufactured from heavy duty frame sections and
feature toughened glass as standard.
Other security features include shoot-bolt locking systems and force - resistant
hinges.

Each locking device on a handle has shoot bolts that secure casements and
fanlights deep into the frame. And doors come complete with a multi-locking
system that means applying force around the central lock is a waste of time.
